"My wife Carly and I came to Paradise Lake Campgrounds for a week-long work-from-camper adventure… and let’s just say, it didn’t go as planned. Starlink let us down, and we found ourselves scrambling Monday morning with back-to-back video calls and no solid internet. Total panic. I started calling around and ended up getting in touch with the Dan River Business Development Center—and wow, they came through in such a big way. I spoke with Christy at the front desk, who was incredibly kind and proactive. She didn’t just give us info—she made magic happen. She told us she’d find us a space to work all week while we were in town, and she did just that. When we arrived, we were personally greeted by Ralph Hogg, the Executive Director, who gave us a full tour of the facility. The space is beautiful—clean, professional, and quiet. We were both given our own private offices, which was huge since we’re both on video calls most of the day. It honestly saved our week. I can’t thank the team enough. What could’ve been a stressful, unproductive mess turned into one of the most peaceful, focused workweeks we’ve had in a long time—all thanks to the generosity and hospitality of the folks at Dan River BDC. If you’re ever in the area and need a place to work, I can’t recommend them enough."

"Our remote work week in the camper took a nosedive when our internet failed on us—thanks, Starlink. We went into total scramble mode. Enter the Dan River Business Development Center: one quick call and suddenly we had private offices, fast Wi-Fi, and a quiet, professional space for the entire week. Huge shoutout to Christy for making it all happen, and to Ralph for the warm welcome and tour. What started as a disaster turned into one of our most productive weeks, all while still enjoying camping life. If you’re working remotely near Danville, this place is a hidden gem."
